For Today is an American Christian metalcore band from Sioux City, Iowa, formed in 2005. They are currently signed to Razor & Tie. They have released one EP, Your Moment, Your Life, Your Time, and three full-length albums: Ekklesia on April 1, 2008,[1] Portraits on June 9, 2009,[2] and their third studio album, Breaker, announced on May 26, 2010 via their official MySpace blog,[3] which was released on August 31, 2010. The first song from the album, "Devastator", was released on June 28, 2010,[4] and the second song, "Seraphim", was released on July 12, 2010.[5]

They co-headlined the Scream the Prayer Tour III, with Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, Blessed by a Broken Heart, A Plea for Purging, The Color Morale, The Crimson Armada, and others.
They joined We Came As Romans, Texas in July, Woe, Is Me, and The Word Alive on the Motel 6 Rock Yourself to Sleep Tour from January and February 2011.[6] In May, they joined Caliban, As Blood Runs Black, Adept and Bleed from Within on Caliban's Cover Europe with...!-tour.
The band also toured with The Devil Wears Prada in the Dead Throne US tour along with Whitechapel and Enter Shikari in November 2011.
Upon signing with Razor & Tie Records, the band has stated that recording for their upcoming album will begin in January 2012. The band will be headlining the Fight the Silence Tour based on their new album in March 2012 and will be touring alongside A Skylit Drive, Stick to Your Guns, MyChildren MyBride, and Make Me Famous.
According to their facebook page, the band will enter the recording studio on January 6, 2012 thru February 8, 2012 at The Machine Shop in New Jersey. They also announced that Will Putney, who produced their previous release Breaker, will also be producing this album. This album will be their debut release on Razor & Tie Records. [7]
